About Me

Tahnee Stockhem, a visual artist and graphic designer currently based in Minneapolis/Saint Paul, USA.

Born in Brussels to a Vietnamese mother and a European father, I embrace my heritages in my use of Belgian surrealism as well as Asian art’s sense of negative space.

I graduated with a BFA in drawing from ENsav La Cambre in 2017. Since graduation, I’ve traveled to 20+ countries, drawing (quite literally) on the beauty and transcultural interactions in the pages of memory.

My drawings have been created from scratch(es) and pencil strokes with a clear leitmotif of organicism that comes from feelings, structured thoughts, and perhaps a bit of catharsis.
